How to use Android Auto with Uconnect

As of 2017 Android Auto is fully integrated in all Uconnect 8.4” systems. The 4th generation Uconnect system is available in all Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram models. The Uconnect infotainment system offers connectivity with Android powered smartphones through Android Auto. With Android Auto you can enjoy the full functionality of your smartphone through hands-free, and touchscreen interfaces on the Uconnect 8.4” systems.

*Your phone must be running Android™ 5.0 or higher. Phone service must include data plan.

How to Use Android Auto:

  1. Download the Android Auto app from Google Play
  2. Connect your phone to the USB media port in your vehicle
  3. Accept terms of use and enable your Bluetooth connection

You’ll know you’ve successfully connected your device via Android Auto when the phone icon is replaced with an Android Auto icon.

Android Auto supports the following hands-free controls:

  1. Speech recognition
  2. Steering wheel audio controls
  3. Touchscreen controls
  4. Radio control buttons
