What’s New For 2024 With The Jeep Grand Cherokee

Since it was first introduced to the world at the 1992 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan, the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee is here and sporting some fantastic updates. 

What’s New?

The Grand Cherokee comes in three specific models available for 2024, including the Jeep Grand Cherokee, three-row Grand Cherokee L, and the Plug-in Hybrid 4xe, which delivers up to 25 miles of pure electric driving and still is able to tow up to 6,000 lbs. It will be difficult to find a more capable off-road vehicle that happens to be a Hybrid. 

For the new year, we will see the Grand Cherokee Limited and L Limited get a choice of painted or polished 18” aluminum wheels, and 4xe Trailhawk models get all-new 18” black painted aluminum wheels. Buyers will still have the option of choosing between 20 and 21-inch wheels on Grand Cherokee L models. 

What was known as the 30th Anniversary Edition in 2023 becomes The Anniversary Edition and stays on for an extra year in the 4xe trim. With the Anniversary Edition, you will get Capri leatherette seats with ventilation, wireless charging pad, nine-speaker Alpine sound system, 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5 NAV, blacked-out exterior appearance, Anniversary Edition badging, body-color rear fascia, lower moldings, sill claddings, plus wheel flares. 

Performance & Towing

The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee is in its own world. Both Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L come standard with the Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 that has an output of 293 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque (290 and 257 lb-ft in the long wheelbase), with a towing capacity of up to 6,200 pounds. The tried and true 5.7-liter V-8 is still available for the Grand Cherokee L, rated at 357 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque with a best-in-class towing capacity of up to 7,200 pounds. The 2024 4xe has a 2.0-liter Inline-4 that outputs 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. 

All Grand Cherokee models have 10.9 inches of ground clearance, with 24 inches of water fording.
