Dodge Made History Once Again

In the 2023 edition of the J.D. Power U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, Dodge made history once again. After becoming the only brand to ever finish atop the mass-market rankings for three consecutive years in 2022, Dodge claimed first place for the fourth year in a row, thereby topping its previous record. While last year’s record was definitely an impressive accomplishment, nothing compares to knowing that your only noteworthy competition is yourself; or, in the case of Dodge, your sibling Stellantis brand, Ram.

Ram is the Runner Up

For the fourth consecutive year, Ram is the runner up in the J.D. Power APEAL Study. Moreover, this is the only beginning of the branded sibling rivalry. In this year’s J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS), Dodge took first place while Ram managed second. Furthermore, Dodge repeated itself as the only domestic brand to top both mass-market standings in the same year. Although Ram has reached the top of the APEAL rankings previously, namely in 2019, Dodge has dominated the study ever since.

Iron Sharpens Iron

Lucky for Stellantis consumers, iron sharpens iron. In other words, we are confident that both of these brands will continue to take their products to the next level, as they constantly battle back and forth for the top spot of the industry. What’s more, if you combine the accomplishments of both brands, looking at things through the Stellantis-focused scope, this marks the fifth consecutive year in which Dodge and Ram have been the top two mass-market rankings in APEAL.
